(Misato's apartment, next day)

The children and Misato are having breakfast. All of them looked very tired after the battle yesterday.

Shinji: Why must we go to school on such a tiring day?

Misato: Because you have to, and that's final.

Chyaku: Is Commander going to do the declassification today?

Misato: I think he said it isn't time yet.

Matsuki: Maybe that's good.

Rei: (looking in to her watch) Guess what? We are going to be late.

Misato: I'll drive you there, since I'm going to shop later.

They reached school on time.

(Lunch)

The 6 children sit at their usual table in the canteen. Touji and Kensuke joined them in curiosity.

Matsuki: It isn't over.

Shinji: What you mean?

Matsuki: We aren't safe, danger aren't over.

Rei: Pardon? Why?

Marsuki: I just have this feeling.

Horoshi: I think we have to admit that all of us have this feeling.

Asuka: Sort of.

Shinji's cell phone rang.

Shinji: (phone) Hello? Misato.....just a minute. (to Matsuki) She want to talk to you.

Matsuki: (phone) Hello? What!! You are kidin' me. It went right through her left chest........All right, I'll meet you there.

Matsuki: Hospital, after school.

Touji: Shouldn't you be heading to Nerv.

Matsuki: Believe it or not, Yapioko is alive.

Chyaku: (nearly fell from the chair) What!!!?? Kaichi? Yapioko Kaichi?

Matsuki nodded.

Asuka: That's impossible, I saw her injury. Right through the heart.

Horoshi: Anyway, we will just take a look.

(After school, outside hospital)

Misato and Bright were waiting. The children walked up slowly.

Matsuki: I still do not believe this.

Misato: Trust me.

(Ward)

Yapioko was by the window, awake.

Yapioko: (feeling her heart, to herself) This is.....what is this? Why am I still here. Did it really work? What am I now? What am I....

(The 8 men arrived, Chyaku and Matsuki changed into their Nerv uniform)

Misato: How should I deal with you?

Yapioko: Anything you wish. (smile) Chyaku, I'm alive.

Chyaku: So? Nice to see that Matsuki did not commit murder.

Yapioko: If Nerv is willing to take me in, I'm a load of information which you all will be interested.

Bright: We will let Fuyusuki to make the decision.

(On their way to Nerv HQ)

Yapioko: Chyaku, what will be my treatment at Nerv?

Chyaku ignored her.

Matsuki: We have no idea.

(Nerv HQ)

Fuyusuki waited for the car to arrive.

Fuyusuki: Here you are.

Yapioko: I do not want to waste any more time. 

Fuyusuki: What you mean?

Yapioko: The lots of information, I think I'll give it to you first. Before Seeles' death, they tried to make another EVA series. This time, they grow the EVAs from Angels' cell. Everything was in control by them, but now, since they are no longer here, the cells will continue into half Angel and Half EVA. The product will be out-of-controlled. 

Misato: That's bad. Where is the factory, we will have to destroy it.

Yapioko: I do not know. All my involvements in this project was to submit design lay-out.

Fuyusuki: Look like we are having more trouble.

Yapioko: I've tell you all I know. I hope to work in Nerv, I believe my engineering ability can be a help.

Chyaku: Why you want to work for Nerv? And why did you change your attitude all of a sudden?

Yapioko: (smiled at Chyaku) I do not have to answer you. 

Fuyusuki: We will accept you. You will be helping Ritsuko in the lab. You will live with all other children in Misato's apartment.

Yapioko: That's great.

Chyaku wanted to voice disagreement, but knew that it will not be too nice to do so.

(Night. Misato's apartment)

Asuka: Misato is working late again.

Matsuki: Yes. Because of what Yapioko said.

Yapioko: Hey, you calling me?

Chyaku and Horoshi brought dinner out.

Chyaku: Dinner is ready.

Shinji: (whisper to Horoshi) Yapioko is hot, isn't she?

Horoshi: Not in Chyaku's eye.

(Nerv, sametime)

 Misato: So what are we going to do.

Ritsuko: All we can do now is wait.

Amuro: Unfortunately, yes.

Bright: We can only hope that they will not attack.

Ritsuko: How are we going to use Yapioko?

Misato: She is a "c" class pilot, as well as an excellent engineer. 

Fuyusuki: Unit-16 need a pilot, we will see if she make the grade.

(Next day. School)

Teacher: Boys, you can celebrate. A girl is coming into our class today. Please welcome Yapioko Kaichi.

Yapioko: Hi. 

The eyes of the boys were not taken off her for the whole day. People start to take photographs at lunch, much like when Asuka arrived (Yapioko's photo was sold at even higher price, though). The 6 children sat in their usual table. Yapioko walked over.

Yapioko: Care if I sit down?

Shinji: Go ahead.

She took the seat beside Chyaku. Chyaku moved closer to Matsuki and leave a clear distance between himself and Yapioko.

Yapioko: Chyaku, forget it. My crush on you is over. I've been able to get over it. It has been so long and so much had happened. Great to see both of you together.

Matsuki: Good for you. By the way, we have lots of tactical test to run today. Yapioko will have her try on Unit-16.

Chyaku: I'm having a free day actually, but I guess I'll just watch the test. 

They went on with the lesson for the rest of the day. 

(After school, School locker room)

Asuka, Rei and Yapioko entred. Yapioko opened her locker and found many letters inside.

Asuka: Sickening, right?

Yapioko: Sort of. I don't feel like replying to any.

Rei: Throw them away then.

Yapioko: Good idea.

(Nerv. Test lab.)

Yapioko and other pilots are in the entry plugs. The control room and plugs are linked by radio. Matsuki run the test in place of Misato who went to Tokyo-2 to receive a promotion.

Matsuki: Connect main power.......Fill LCL.

Makoto: LCL filled.

Matsuki: Insert Entry plug. Start Sync. test.

Maya looked at the result.

Maya: Shinji is having his usual 98.83-100%, Rei is quite steady at 95.9-97.2%, Horoshi is only 97.9 to 99.9%, Asuka is 90.2-98.13%.

Matsuki: (interrupting) Asuka, your range is too great, concentrate harder. 

Asuka: I'm trying to.

Maya: Yapioko isn't very impressive with 65.26-66.63%

Matsuki: Try lowering the entry plugs by one more level.

Makoto: Yes.

Maya: No problem. They are coping well.

Chyaku: Isn't this good enough?

Matsuki: You all may come up now. I'll meet you in the changing room.

Ritsuko: Well done test. Matsuki, you are doing just fine.

Matsuki: Thanks.

(Changing room)

The children all came in. Chyaku opened his locker and 18 pieces of paper fell out. 

Rei: (picking up the paper) What is that?

Asuka: (Holding the first page) EVA SK-22 machine gun. 

Chyaku: Yap. The test is in a week time. This gun have very high accuracy, might even be able to hit F-91 if you are good.

The gundam pilots entred.

Seabook: Chyaku, my Gundam is not that easy to be hit.

Everyone laughed. 

Suddenly, the alert went off. They ran into the announcement room.

Matsuki: Makoto, what is that?

Makoto: Large unidentified object approaching Tokyo-3.

Maya: Scanning blood type....what?!?!

Chyaku looked at the blood pattern.

Chyaku: Yapioko told the truth. Mixture of orange and blue, EVA and Angel.

Matsuki: Aoba, try to inform Commander and Misato. All EVA pilots take your position. Gundam team on stand-by.

Shinji: Let's go.

Shinji, Rei, Horoshi and Asuka ran toward the bay.

Matsuki: Yapioko, stay put.

Yapioko: Whatever you say.

Makoto: EVA filling LCL. Insert Entry plug. Ready for launch.

Matsuki: Launch EVAs.

(Battle ground)

The new enemy looked very much like a EVA, except that it have more organic looking eyes and its upper body have no armor.

Horoshi: I do not like this.

Asuka: Neither do I.

Matsuki: (radio) There are no weak points detected on this enemy. We expect it to have strong AT-field. We will have a try of close range combat.

EVA-02 took a ax. EVA-00 and 15 both took a palatte gun. EVA-14 has a pistol in hand. EVA-14 started to fire, but all shot was blocked by the AT-field. Uni-02 took the chance to go behind the enemy. She jumped toward the enemy, but a hand came out from the neck area of the monster caught EVA-02 on her neck. EVA-15 fired at the "hand", but was surprised as the enemy generate another AT-field in that area.

Asuka: HELP ME!!!

Shinji: Damnit, how many AT-field can it generate?

Yapioko: (radio) from what I know, at least 100.

The Enemy used a large force and cut the head of EVA-02 off from the neck. The entry plug is exposed. The monster stepped on the entry plug, red liquid flew out.

Horoshi: Asuka!! No!! You will pay for that.

EVA-14 dashed in and cut off the "hand" from the monster. He was about the finish it off using the progressive knife when the monster turned and generate a fire ball from its mouth. The fire ball set EVA-14's chest on fire.

(2nd Announcement room)

Maya: That's cruel.

Ritsuko arrived. She looked to the screen.

Ritsuko: What does Shinji want to do?

Matsuki: No. I order you to drop that idea.

Shinji: (radio) Shut up!!

(Battle ground)

EVA-01 dashed over to the monster, expanding his AT-field to Maximum. That able him to neutralize the AT-field of the monster.

Shinji: Take the chance, Rei.

EVA-15 have a N2 bomb in her hand. 

Rei: Shinji, run.

EVA-01 did not move.

Shinji: Just do it.

EVA-15 pushed the bomb into the body of the monster and jumped away to a safe distance.

Rei: Shinji, what are you waiting for?

Shinji: Rei...I'll be okay.

The bomb exploded inside the monster's body. EVA-01 was hit by the impact.

Shinji: Arrrrrrr.

(2nd Announcement room)

Makoto: The target is destroyed.

Matsuki: Quick, take the pilots back.

Maya: The lives of all four are confirmed.

Chyaku: But might be critical...
